Our Eye Clinic in Ellensburg

Dr. Sarah K. Storrs grew up in Yakima, Washington, attending high school and community college there. She graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Dr. Storrs received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of California School of Optometry in 2003.

While in optometry school, she was an active member of UCOSA, the optometric student association, Beta Sigma Kappa honor society, and a student member of the American Optometric Association, American Academy of Optometry, California Optometric Association, and Optometric Physicians of Washington.

Dr. Storrs completed a hospital-based residency in primary care at the Fresno VA Medical Center in July 2004. She started working at Family Eye Clinic shortly after moving back to the Kittitas Valley in August 2004. Her special areas of interest in optometry include ocular disease, children’s eye care, and working with adults with special needs.

Dr. Storrs and her husband, Jeremy, have 2 sons, Evan and Trevor. Outside of optometry, Dr. Storrs is the past president of the Ellensburg Lions Club, board member and secretary of Kittitas Valley Opportunities, and is active in Parent-2-Parent. She also enjoys scrapbooking.

Dr. Richard Harrison graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Western Oregon University in 2002. Soon after, Dr. Harrison enrolled at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, where he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2006.

Upon graduation, Dr. Harrison, his wife, and their 2 children moved from the northwest to Southeast Georgia. Dr. Harrison established a private vision practice, where he provided a range of eye care services, including routine eye exams for glasses and contact lenses, diabetic eye exams, cataract pre and post-operative care, and the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases such as glaucoma, allergies, macular degeneration, and various types of eye infections.

In 2011, Dr. Harrison and his family decided to return to the Northwest. They lived briefly in Klamath Falls, Oregon, before moving to Walla Walla in September of 2012. In Walla Walla, Dr. Harrison worked in a large optometric practice. He cared for a wide range of patients of all ages. He also encountered a wide range of optometric conditions, gaining valuable experience in glaucoma care, pediatric care, emergency cases such as foreign body removal, management of flashes and floaters, numerous diabetic cases, and pre and post-operative surgical cases.

Dr. Harrison joined Valley Eye Care and Vision Clinic in Moses Lake to bring his experience and his friendly, caring demeanor to the great people of Moses Lake. He purchased Family Eye Clinic in 2025 and looks forward to continuing a long tradition of excellent eye care here.

Dr. Harrison enjoys the outdoors, particularly hiking, and is an avid sports fan. He has coached his son’s baseball teams from Little League through Babe Ruth. He enjoys watching his kids participate in various activities, including baseball, softball, volleyball, and band. He and his family are also active members of their church, enjoying service in the community.
